Drove from Port St Lucie this AM to Ft Lauderdale. Wow. Worst traffic and driving I've ever been around. Combination of meth smoking locals and bat shite crazy yankees. I feel lucky to have gotten here alive.

That's what makes cruising out of New Orleans so great. The port is a straight shot off interstate, and it's just a few hours drive from home. The cruise itinerary is always the same, and that gets a little stale, but just can't justify the added expense of flying the whole family to Miami.

what ship are you going on out of Ft Lauderdale. I went on Oasis of the Seas last month and will again in May on Oasis. Next weekend will be back on the Getaway.
