Hasn't it been pretty well acknowledged that a big reason for our offense this year was because Cam didn't do precisely this?

Chilge1: you and I just seem to see things differently.

I'd argue that the problem wasn't that Cam DIDN'T oversimplify the offense enough, it was that he DID.

The offense (formations, play-calling, personnel) was entirely predictable. Looked like a middle school offense. Maybe the reason Cam went extreme vanilla is that he didn't have a QB he could trust, but still, I didn't see the "complexity" everyone is talking about.

So I don't think the problem this year was an overly-complex offense. Just the opposite.
