Good to hear. He was one of my favorites. Good luck to him

The last two years I've just been miserable. I hate when people say, "You're getting paid, so it's cool." No, it's not (expletive) cool. I'm (expletive) miserable sitting at home.
I'm not broke. I'm not desperate for money. When playing basketball is what you love to do and you physically can't do it and you still have that urge to do it, it's tough.

Good for him. I think that's a great fit

Hopefully he gets the 10-day contract & gets some meaningful minutes. Tyrus is a tiger great and a good guy.

People always say "if i was getting paid whatever, it wouldn't matter." And that's why you aren't a professional basketball player, those guys always want to play, unless your name is Jerome James.

I love Tyrus maybe more than anyone, but it's not like the NBA is the only league out there. He could find another gig

Sure. He's never gonna be a guy I could see overseas though. Not his mentality. Strongly tied to BR community. He's been rehabbing the back surgery anyway. Just now getting back healthy.

He has done real good with his money, glad he getting another shot, he can still be a rotational player on most teams in league.

I think he'd be a solid fit there. I hope it works out for him.

pulling for TT, I'd kinda forgotten about him. I kinda wish he could come to the Hawks, the staff is really good at player development and they could use him for shot blocking and rebounding.

I hope for the best, glad to see he's on his way back. That Final 4 team was awesome. Oddly enough the basketball team I was doing an internship with in the D-League about 4 years ago had Garrett Temple and Taz on the same roster.

I don't know if he will stick since they just got Jeff green but who knows, he might ball out.

Of all the shite that you could post this to on this board, this is the thread that gets it? One involving a former Tiger possibly making a comeback into the league after injury?

With a 10 day contract, he gets a chance at a look-see not only from the Grizzlies standpoint, but from other teams who need a Power Forward/Center.
If Tyrus' body, once in game shape, can support his talent, then with his new found maturity, Tyrus could be a mid-level force for many, many seasons to come.
I hope he does well. Teams need players like Tyrus.
