Is the 4.8 40 time I see on his ESPN profile correct? His offer list looked a little "meh". What is this kids role? Are his hands great where we can use his size as a possession red zone jump ball threat? What should we expect from this kid?

Yeah but what is his football speed?
That 4.8 has to be wrong. Hell 300lb lineman run that now a days.

if thats the case then hes a convert to TE type prospect

The 4.8 has to be wrong he ran away from one of corners who runs a legit 4.4. Also a great jump ball threat, most of his teams passing offense was based on this and he seemed to come down with the ball every time

I've noticed that those times are rarely accurate. It was probably a time recorded when was a sopohmore at a camp and ESPN just never updated it. Also, as far as his list goes, he was a very early commit to his state school. When that happens a lot of schools don't bother offering because they know it's a long shot to flip him. That could be the reason you think his offer list is "meh", you can't always trust what is on those sites. LSU offered and excepted his commitment, he mt be pretty good despite what ESPN might say.

Yeah I know. That's why it stood out to me so much and was probably a big factor why he didn't get as much attention / bigger offers. Doesn't seem like a "game changer" type of guy. Seems like a guy that could get lost in the shuffle at a bigger school honestly but like I said he might find a role as a red zone target due to his height

Time is wrong. Dude is a beast. Doesn't care for the spot light and the drama so he is a quiet stud. He dominated lsu camp this summer

The mans name is Jazz. He could run a 5.8 and I would still want him.

Hope so redfield! Glad to hear this. Kid has great size so if he runs better than what is listed it will be a tough matchup for defenses.

this. Dude is really good. He's been solid for a long time, so most schools won't show much interest.
Here is is tape

I know that we didn't really go after Cameron Sims last year, and he was getting good ratings (probably because the Bama commitment). But my question is do you think that the coaches think he is more talented than Cameron Sims, or is it more of a class by class assessment. Jazz doesn't have Malachi or Speedy to compete for a spot on the roster with.
NOOOOOO yall made me waste 5000 on this?!? Oh well...

That film makes me feel much better. Is there film of his Sr year? That clip said 2013 season

He is an athlete that will find the field somewhere. Would not rule out receiver.

First time watching his film, very impressive. If he runs a 4.8 then everyone else was running 5.2s... There is one play about the 1 minute mark where he does a spin move to get off a jam. Can't say I have ever seen that, but damn it really worked

Donte Jackson is listed on ESPN with a 4.69 40. He's gonna be a jump ball threat more than anything

4.8 speed is plenty for a big wide receiver. There are plenty of receivers in the NFL - Marcus Colston for example - who can't run a 4.8. The truth is that 4.8 is friggin fast. He won't outrun defensive backs, but if he's big, he doesn't need to.

No it isnt, a good time for a player his size would be a 4.6.

My comparison has always been to a Randy Moss type receiver. Even when he was younger. He's a looong strider that covers a lot of ground in a hurry. Will out jump any corner back he faces. Can make quick cuts for a guy his height(the coaches had him playing a RB role for a lot of plays at the beginning of the year). He is aggressive and doesn't shy away from putting a hit on someone. He seems to be stronger than you think when just looking at his build, and will only get stronger.
