What I mean is:

You don't go after a coach) just to appease someone(even if it's AD).

You go after the guy that is the best candidate. AD wouldn't give 2 shits who it is as long as he's winning(see GS)

It just smells of a bad idea.

ETA: sorry forgot cal coached in the late 90s,my bad.

I agree . . . I think. But the winning and team chemistry/camaraderie (even if purely professionally) has to happen in a hurry. I have these nightmares of AD thinking about going home to Chicago.

Coach Cal was a head coach in the NBA.

Agree with most of your points though, I'd hope the Pels try to get the best coach available not just a local guy or a guy that AD wants.

Nets, late 90s?

let's be honest though. the Brow will have his input as to the next coach. to think not is unrealistic in today's NBA
