When did the networks start promoting the competing networks games.

Heard it several times during the playoffs. Fox just reminded everybody of the afc championship game on cbs. This used to be a big no no. Espn never mentions cbs when talking about the sec game of the week.

The regular networks have been doing this for awhile. ESPN is the only one I recall that doesn't advertise other networks.

they've been doing it for the NFL all season.

I think it's part of their deal with the NFL. I know March Madness has promos for the "family of networks" as well.
