I would recommend Dominican Republic all-inclusives as opposed to Mexico. That's just me.
This. The Punta Cana Excellence Resort was awesome. Great price, good food and drinks, full bar in your room, fun activities, etc. We never needed to leave the resort. The flight wasn't bad either.

So I guess with all the high end all inclusives, you really can't go wrong?? That's kind of the feeling I'm getting.

I agree, you definitely get a lot of bang for your buck there, but make sure you stay at the "Excellence" side of the resort. There is another side that is cheaper, but it looked pretty rough when I was there a few years ago. But the resort grounds are beautiful with unusual native plants and wildlife roaming around (such as peacocks). Probably 90% of the people there were on their honeymoon when we went so all of the shows are geared towards couples. It's an adults only resort too btw.
