Does anyone have any food/bar/club/strip club/live music/etc. recommendations for the downtown Toronto area? There will be three guys, all single, and in our mid 20s. The only thing we have planned so far is the Pelicans & Raptors game Sunday afternoon. None of us have been to Toronto before so we are looking to have a good time while boozing and eating our way through the city.

Why is the best gay bar in Toronto called The Beaver?

You're going in the middle of winter?

Thought that was weird too. Maybe a lesbo place?

False advertising. Go in looking for a beaver and come out with an aardvark.

What ever you do when you order a Labatt Blue just say I want a Blue.
btw the strips joints if you go in the back room the chick will dance until you tell her to stop then she will want you to fork over the money.

Popeye's on Younge St. Just down from the Eaton Centre

I've stayed at Marriott Eaton Centre a couple of times, which is a good option. Eaton Centre is their big mall. The Novotel is better if you want something closer to the water.
Jack Astor is a decent bar on Yonge/Dundas Square that I think has food late night if you need it. Just down the street on Yonge is a brewpub 3 Brewers. There is also a restaurant near there - of all places called Baton Rouge, that is good safe play for food. The Keg, their big chain steakhouse, is solid. I've also eaten at a great high end sushi/Asian place called Blowfish. The one on Bay isn't too crowded on the weekend because it is in a business area.
Eggspectation (in office building next to Marriott, no longer on Yonge) and Fran's diner (multiple locations) are decent breakfast joints to help shake off the hangover.
Oh, and don't forget the Hockey Hall of Fame. Not the greatest, but at least worth seeing a lot of cool old jerseys.

I go to Toronto often for work and it is one of my favorite places to go. There are lots of bars/clubs and places to eat around City Centre. It almost looks like a mini times square. Several strip clubs in the area as well. All most in walking distance. Toronto has some of the hottest women I've ever seen. It always seems like a 3 to 1 ratio with women to guys so thats always a + in my book.

-Korean BBQ
-Dim Sum
-Tim Bits
-Lend your buddy a loonie.
-Jump up and down on the glass floor at the CN Tower.
-Marvel at how clean everything is.
-Try to buy beer past 8 pm and be sorely disappointed.
