Steele/Orgeron is not going to produce on the field the way Chavis/Haley would have. Probably not even close.

Yeah, no.

Steele probably learned a few things from Saban the last few years. If he's a decent coordinator then it's an even swap due to the HUGE recruiting advantage.

Haley wasn't that good. No way around that.

Why? Because they're ready to get rid of Miles. No other way to read it. Steele's defenses are not going to bail out Miles's offense nearly as much as has been the case in the past. And it's going to be reflected in the record, making it easier to justify canning him in two years.

That same defense shite the bed multiple times in big games over the years. The only time I've thought we had a GREAT defense under Chavis was 2011. The rest of the time we've been good with a glaring flaw or two that was always exposed at very inopportune times.

2012 Alabama wasn't on the offense. 2013 Alabama wasn't on the offense. 2014 Alabama wasn't on the offense. Those have been our big games. The D shite the bed in all 3.

We kicked A&Ms arse every year we've played them under Chavis. Big deal. Plenty of other teams have as well.

2012 lost to Bama 21-17... and you assign all blame to the defense, none to the offense.

2013 lost to Bama 38-17... and you assign all blame to the defense, none to the offense.

2014 lost to Bama 20-13 in OT... and you assign all blame to the defense, none to the offense.

You have become so accustomed to great defense, that you just assume that's how it's supposed to be. I mean, you held Bama to 13 points in regulation in 2014. No other team Bama faced was that effective. And yet you STILL say that was a game in which the D "shite the bed".

Conversely, you've become so accustomed to BAD offense, that you essentially give it a pass. Your offense averaged 15.7 points per game against Bama. Bama hasn't scored less than 17 points in any game the past three seasons. 15.7 ppg just isn't going to cut it against them.

Yes, the Defense let you down in 2013, but it was the only reason you were in the other two games.

bullshite to put that on the D when they did their part for 58 minutes. The O needs to score more. The blame on that games goes to Les Miles.

Agreed mostly, but they still needed to score more.

Again, look at the amount of points LSU scored. The D held Bama all game. Yes, that last drive in regulation was the final straw, but do you really just excuse the other 59 minutes?
