Steele/Orgeron for one reason only.

The defense has been good but hasn't played with any fire since 2011. I think Steele and O can bring that back. If we can get back to being a solid, attacking defense that creates turnovers then I'm fine.

You lost a lot of guys to the draft. Leaders that play a big role in the locker room and on the field. Coaches can do a lot but without the senior leadership from top players that is big.

Just think of the amount of talent that has come and gone playing in the NFL during. Chavis time there and I get he may not have been big on recruiting but Chavis had credibility. Just my two cents.

This is a good point. There are two knocks on Chavis, recruiting and motivation. That's not to say that players dislike Chavis, but he doesn't motivate that well on his own, and I am not sure Haley is that great at that either, certainly not as good as coach O is.

Chavis was paid big at LSU because he was consistent and dependable, and that means a lot to Miles. But considering he wasn't a great motivator or any sort of recruiter, he was overpaid. He won't have the depth of defensive talent at A&M and he will regress back to his years at Tennessee. (His years at Tennessee weren't bad, but they aren't worth top 3 assistant in the country money for sure.)
