Have some of us just completely forgotten what good news sounds like

That they'll defend shitty news just for the sake of remaining positive?
There has to be a breaking point for some of you. We keep going down and other SEC schools keep going up and there shows ZERO signs of change anytime soon.
What the frick is it going to take to make some of you believe that our ship is no longer taking on water, we're half sunk?

I dunno. Our offense is an embarrassment and the full season ended on a down note. An exciting hire would've been exciting.

Deep down, I think beefense, choctaw, etc know damn well that the ship is sinking.
However, they are playing some kind of weird mind game with themselves. They think that if they convince enough people that "all is well", then those converts will convince choctaw and beefense that "all is well".
I oftentimes do this. If I am watching a game with friends and my team fumbles the ball, I oftentimes will tell my friends "He's down, he's down, he's down", in the hopes that they believe me, and therefore there is no one that will say otherwise.
For choctaw and beefense, if they are able to convince everyone that all is well, then they won't have to listen to the truth.
It's a form of truth remaking through denial by convincing others.

I talk to a lot of people off this board. About 80 percent think this hire was a joke and miles is done. The remaining don't want to give up yet but also admit it wasn't an impressive hire by any means. Miles has really driven support away from himself over the past 2 yrs.

Simply put this hire is fantastic! It's a win/win situation for both the nega and positigers. Either CLM made a quality hire and we play solid defense, or CLM and Steele fail miserably and they're both gone by this time next year.

And then what??? Have Alleva hire a football coach? You think this was a three ring circus, wait til you see that disaster.

quote:Don't you think a good coach would want the job?? I realize top DC were not wanting to come fail with miles but a head coach coming in with his staff and Louisiana's talent rich recruiting grounds should attract a big time coach....
And then what???
