So Steele was at Clemson from 2009-2011. His 2009 defense was ranked 25th in scoring D, and gave up 315 yards per game. His 2010 defense ranked 13th in scoring D and gave up 320 yards per game. His 2011 defense ranked 81st in scoring D while giving up 394 yards per game. Does anyone know what happened that last year?

He had a mental breakdown according to some. Sign me up. No pressure in the Big League Death Valley.

Saw a Clemson fan say they lost a lot of senior leadership from the 2010 team

West Virginia was very good offensively that season. So that last game probably affected their ranking by about 10 slots.

Keep in mind, LSU gave up 533 yards to that same West Virginia team that year. And we had a pretty good defense, if you recall.
