I just think he sees food (specifically ramen, apparently) as art and since everyone is doing it just waters down the "genre" in general and marginalizes it... it happens with many food trends..

I like his passion about his food, though his opinions are very polarizing... I don't necessarily have the same opinions..

That's why his article rubs me the wrong way. He has written how he loves shitty beer and hates on craft beer. Seems like he's throwing stones from the kitchen of his glass house.
