That Ryno for Gerald Green and a 1st deal doesn't sound too bad right about now

I do not get this board's love affair with Gerald Green. He's a competent wing, but he doesn't fit this team IMO.

1) He has only played well in PHX in a run and gun system that has given him the green light to shoot at all times. That isn't NO.

2) He takes 2 more shots Per 36 than any other Pels player. Complaints about sharing and Davis's touches would go through the roof.

3) In a thread largely (and correctly) slamming Anderson's lack of defensive ability, Green isn't known to bring much to that end.

4) He's about to turn 30. For a guy who has lived off his athleticism, betting on him over the next few years is not a sure thing, even with his low mileage and improved game.

If there's any wing on PHX we should be having a hard on for, its Tucker. A real D and 3 guy.

Green would be great as a Gordon or Evans replacement, but he's not the answer at SF given this roster.

It's because

I'd rather PJ Tucker too, but I'm assuming he isn't available and people are tired of Babbit pump fakes and Salmons anywhere near the court. Hopefully Dante and QPon will calm us down some.

I'm no where near in love with Gerald Green, but

He's a competent wing

so it's easy to see why our fans are attracted to the idea of acquiring him.

It isn't, but that hasn't stopped Dell before. With a simple coaching change, our style could greatly change. While Monty has us playing with a slower pace, it seems Dell has been building this roster to play with a quicker pace. If Dell gets to name the next HC, I will bet the tempo will be quicker.

Valid point, but if he helps us win more, then I don't think we'll hear anymore complaints. Besides, when has fan complaints ever mattered?

Valid concern
