re: Wounded deer safe to eat?

Not for me. Killed a big 8 pt my dad had wounded 4 days before (terrible neck shot through the meat only). It had flys and maggots in the neck wound, but would have survived had it not been walking across my plot when I got to my stand that afternoon.
Not worth the risk. I would give it away.
