No
People say the same shite about a guy like Aminu. Players with no discernable NBA skill get ambiguous titles like "good defender" or "hustle guy" or "does the dirty work"

I don't have anything concrete to back it up, but he passes the eye test in the defensive department. One thing I love about him is when he plays guys like Harden or Kobe that like to bring the ball up the court he will hound them the length of the court.
He's not the best off the ball defender because he gets caught ball watching occasionally, but he is very solid on ball defender.
