If you look at it from a who is going to be off the roster sooner, then sure they are better options than Pondexter

If you're looking at it from a who is a better player for our roster, it's Pondexter no question. Rivers and Smith don't have any business even being in the NBA. At least Pondexter is a NBA bench player caliber guy.

I can't believe there has been this much discussion on the topic. Rivers and smith are D league players, Pondexter proved to be a rotation guard on a playoff team and is a position of need for us. its a solid small scale move.
