I thought Lone Survivor was terrible, wasn't even close to what really happened. If American Sniper is worse not gonna waste my $8.

Its a solid good movie. If you are just expecting a shoot em up frick the muslims type movie then I can understand the more realistic truths of war implanted into this film. The movie is fast paced but hey are trying to cover a lot of ground and show how him, his family, and the war changed over the years. It does a good job of this however the gaps do impact the strength of the plot. It would have been probably better done as a short tv series. Overall it was a gripping entertaining movie that showed more depth into the cruel realities of war than your typical propaganda patriot piece.

Disagree. I thought the movie was really good and even though there were some differences from the book, it was pretty close for the most part. I didn't care for the way they "Hollywoodized" Danny Dietz' death. Wish it would have been a little longer and showed Luttrell's struggle post-battle and pre-Gulab rescuing him.

I didn't like that the took two unrealistic falls in that movie that would have broken necks/spines. They REALLY pumped those guys up.

I guess I just don't mind going to a movie and taking it for what it is. It's not a documentary. It's a fantasized recounting of a story. Go, be entertained, walk out happy, enjoy life. It just seems way to curmudgeonous to always be comparing things the goddamn hard and fast truth.
