I think we could schedule Lafayette High and Lee High and maybe Lake Charles High we could pick up 3 more wins
That is about the caliber of some of he folks we play

Very good coaches win a lot of games over a long period of time and are considered to be of legendary status by most of their fan base (Beamer, Lavell Edwards, Jim Mora Sr., Hayden Frye, Bo, Les Miles, many more). The great ones and true legends win national championshipS!!!!!!!!
I read your post and had to question whether or not Les had ever won a National Championship.
Nega-whatevers tend to criticize Miles supporters for moving the goalpost, but the same can be said of their group.
In 2008 and 2009, the narrative was that Miles would never have a season with less than two losses. Hell, I believe Maximus had a signature that said he would never post again if Miles ever won the SEC championship again. Then 2010 and 2011 happened, and those criticizers somehow grew in strength and numbers. It is mind-blowing.

My prediction is that he will fail. Reason? His capabilities are not up to the task. He has limitations and weaknesses that will combine to cause him to fail.
That's my humble opinion/prediction. Coach Miles is a good man and a good coach, but, he's now past his glory days.

8-0
6-2
5-3
4-4.
The wrong direction...

Or we can play Oregon, Wisconsin, TCU, wvu, UNC .... Oh wait.
The 2 hardest schedules LSU played in the history of the program were 11 and 07.

So if we go 5-3 or 6-2 next year will we be going in the rt direction or only 8-0 is acceptable?

Congrats...You just took the top seat in the race for dumbest post of 2015. While we still have plenty of time left for some of these idiots to unseat you, I think you set the bar very high. You may be tough to knock down.
I hope you are not any older than 15.

If Les gets us back to the top and wins another national championship, he will move into that elite group, unless he doesn't win the championship the following year, at which point I will once again remove him from the list.

Close but no Cigar. As long as people continue to lower the bar so Miles and other coaches can look like winning coaches you fools can pretend it is true if you wish ....
Because of the crap games all teams are playing, thus the 10 win season, the only way to assure you are moving forward is by championships at the division or higher level.
The only thing I can figure is you guys are "Miles Men" not LSU fans

Lower the bar? Kid, the numbers speak for themselves. We aren't arguing opinions here, we are arguing FACTS. And the fact is, only one other college football program has won more games than LSU in the last 10 years.

You do realize it's not possible for LSU to play only top notch out of conference opponents every single week. You do also realize that LSU plays in the toughest conference, and the toughest division within that conference, and has still managed all of these wins.
I don't even know what you are trying to argue anymore.

I am not arguing anything other than since the game schedules have been weakened by crap games, the 10 win season is FLUFF, for any school, not just LSU.
If I water your whiskey down by 30%, it ain't the same strength, maybe you can relate to this concept

So, if all things are equal (as you are saying) it doesn't make it less impressive that LSU is second on that list (like you are trying to make it seem).
If everybody is playing the same "crap" teams, then how come more people don't have the same number of wins LSU has?

Damn, that was the last field I played on in '68 when I played for Lafayette High. We did get them 28 - 0 that year

Well you know you make a good point there, you would have to look at each teams Crap Games and size them up.
All I am saying is the only way to tell a program is moving forward, IMHO, is Division, Conference or Natty wins because the weakened Regular schedule is misleading, that's it.

10 win seasons for programs with a NC since 05:
LSU=7
Bama=7
Tex.=5
Fla.=4
Fla. St.=4
Aub.=3
If 10 seasons are so easy to come by these days for programs, I wonder why these NC programs don't have more in the past 10 yrs.
Gosh, look at who leads the list for 10 win seasons by NC programs since 05.
Posted on 1/7/15 at 11:44 am to GeorgeReymond
...and LSU beat every one of those programs on a neutral field.
