I agree but its more of a liability issue than anything else.If you have an accident and are overloaded your insurance likely will not cover you.Thats all Im saying.

I wouldn't have bought my last truck either. Dude actually texted me after 5 months of driving around rolling coal if he needs a DPF. Either way, he screwed me on the deal, so he got what he deserved. Except for the engine, everything was in tip top shape



Eta: Don't think that I actually looked up the letters weights. I worked at CAT and sort of knew them. IIRC, a D3 weighs around 18k, D5 around 25k, D6K 28k, D6N 35k, and D6T 45k if I had to guess. The big boy D11 was like 250k.

Had a logger with an old D10, and that thing was ginormous
