Johnson's impact will be broad

There are a lot of parts to Tyron's game that should impact the program and it goes deeper than the obvious talent he possesses.
Tyron's skill-set is fairly unique. He is polished technically and his ability to get separation should allow him to become an asset underneath that LSU just doesn't have right now.
The slants, bubble screens, hitches etc. that you saw with Odell and Jarvis were not called with the same regularity this year and the reasoning goes beyond just the quarterback play. There isn't a guy on the roster that can create like Johnson and it should allow for a more productive short to intermediate passing game regardless of the QB play.
Then you have the attitude and work ethic aspect that Tyron brings to the table. This stuff is contagious and I have seen first hand how Tyron brings out the best in those around him, whether it's 7-on-7, workouts or practice. He will bring accountability and a toughness to the WR group that may also be needed.
The recruiting aspect is also going to be a factor. When guys like Leonard, Malachi and Johnson stay home to play at LSU it gives that that much more firepower to recruit local guys in the future. Odell and Leonard's presence this recruiting cycle has been felt.
Johnson has a TON of respect from the younger guys from around the state that he has got to know through various circuits and he will be in their ear. Shea Patterson, Clyde Leflore, Greedy and of course Donte Jackson will all be hearing from Tyron.
Regardless of who else is on the roster, he will likely get some touches as a punt returner as well. He's too dynamic not to. If Donte Jackson were to end up elsewhere it's likely that Johnson becomes the full-time punt returner, with some duties as a kick returner as well.
I just wanted to give you guys my take on his commitment. Hope your holiday season was fulfilling.

In your opinion, how crucial is signing TJ to getting Shea?

He brings so much to this team and I love the fact that he is so polished right now.
I can see a 4 wide with him and either Diarse or Quinn as the inside receivers as Dupre and Dural are the outside receivers. Or a 5 wide with Desean Smith added.
Hopefully we get Donte Jackson and he goes on KR and Johnson goes on PR.

He'll be the starter in the slot midway through the year. Too good to keep off the field.
He has obj type of talent

Tyron won't be the determining factor in Shea's recruitment, but he'll certainly try.

That's what I believe as well. He's also physical too.

That would be very tough on Tiger opponents, provided a capable passing QB is found or developed.

Nothing helps develop a passing game like giving a QB ELITE talent at WR
Nice work!
