What size shrimp are you typically buying? Any other seafood?
Most of those folks are just good hard-working people. It's really a luxury to have such options. You can usually get a decent price on softshells. I'd like to find a good oyster person over there... one time I purchased some shucked ones from the wood shack next door and was unimpressed.

Depends on what I'm cooking 8-10 for BBQ, 12-16 for boil. I get boiled crabs from a place over their too.
