re: How many big game animals have you shot that were never recovered.

Me and gorillacoco shot what we think was the same deer each in the same afternoon with our bows when hunting a couple hundred yards apart. His arrow broke off inside the 4pt and I had a complete pass thru with mine. found the arrow covered in blood but never found another drop of blood after that. To this day I can't make sense of what happened. We looked for a long time for that deer.
