I see what you're saying but I wont forget thr frustrations of 2002 with Jason Fife, before Kellen Clemens replaced him and then Gary Crowton basically quit on Dennis Dixon in 2006 (think Brady Leaf). Dixon wasnt great until his senior 2007 season, Chip's first season as our OC.

Our run defense was pretty poor early on this season. The Arizona game stands out. But they have since cleaned their issues up and are back to attacking and not missing tackles. I think a lot of it may have been adjusting to Pellum as our new DC.

Oregon is way deeper than in the past. 30 fewer California recruits going to USC has also helped spread the talent level out around the West Coast.
