Bumpus has been Coordinator of the year three times at TCU. Played at Arky, coached at Vandy with Parcels, and Notre Dame under Holtz and briefly at Utah State. He and Patterson are close at TCU but Patterson is making all the money. Very sound guy. Would be a terrific hire at LSU
