Unfortunately there is no easy solution. I was hoping Obama could do a lot in helping this issue, but I was wrong.

1. Increase the importance of the roles of the man and what it means to be a real man/father
2. Increase the importance of education
3. Quit glorifying the whole got damn thug culture/gangster lifestyle
4. There needs to be more successful black people who are willing to go back and help others become as successful as they are. We need more role models, black role models to be specific.

The problem is, when you grow up in the hood, there is no hope. It sucks but that's the honest truth. They think the whole world is against them. They just don't think its truly possible for them to be something in life. When your dad is in prison, mom on drugs, and your brother is currently gangbanging, you have no positive role models. You become content with knowing you will live and die on the streets, because that is what all he and everyone around him knows

The main thing, we need more of our people to care. There are plenty of people who do care. There are plenty of programs headed by people who dedicate their lives to the advancement of our race, unfortunately its not enough of these people out there. Instead you have more people like Sharpton who only cares to call all white people racist, which unfortunately does nothing to fic the problem. The way I see it, the change will have to come from within. I don't know when, but I'm very hopeful that I will see this change in my lifetime

I don't know who you mean by "our people", but I'll give you my white perspective.

It's hard for me to care when I see all the animosity and hatred from blacks towards whites. Being constantly accused of being a racist for just being white is getting tiresome. Hearing the constant charges of perceived racism and the total lack of personal responsibility for their actions. It's always the white man's fault and I've had enough.

After the Fergerson riots, I'm basically at the point of saying "frick 'em".
It's like trying to love a dog who bites you ever time you try to pet them.

I've had enough, I'm all out of fricks to give and believe me, damn near every white person I know is feeling the same way. These continuous protest over a problem that barely exist (cops killing blacks) is hurting their cause more than helping.
