Would be nice if I could get it there.

Won't turn over at all.

CEL is normal. It will come on when the key is on and engine not running. Can you test the battery with a volt meter? Do the headlights come on and look bright?

Tested with volt meter and got 12v

Take the battery somewhere and have them put a load test on it. Maybe the place you bought it from a year ago.

Put the voltmeter on it and have someone crank it and see how far the voltage falls off.

I suggest you pull the battery and take it to a parts shop and have them test it. If it tests out OK, get a new starter, if not get a new battery.
If all your connections are good and the starter is able to draw like it should, it's probably the starter or the battery.

Check your ground, use your meter and test the ohm's between the engine and the truck chassis. Also test between the Negative of the battery and the chassis.
You can do this by putting your red lead of the meter on the postive of the battery and place the black lead on a metel spot on the engine. You should get 12 volts. Do the same for the chassis.

Even though you can get 12V (13.8v actually) on any voltmeter, that doesn't mean the battery is good. If it has a "dead cell" it can still show the necessary voltage, but can't handle the load of the starter.
Get the battery load tested. If that is good, the starter can be tested as well. Chevrolets used to use an integrated starter/solenoid combo, don't know if that's the same (Solenoid is little can on top or bottom of main body starter). If solenoid is bad typically they click...but they can go bad too as it's just a relay.
Autozone/O'Reilly can typically test both batteries and starters (and alternators too).
