Boyse Bollinger got most of his favors from being bestes buddies with George Bush and other republican big wigs. He was no stranger to flying in airforce one and was a regular at the Crawford, TX Christmas party.
The Mary support was just to hedge his bets a little. His future contracts did not depend on her.

Hopefully Cassidy charges him quadruple what Mary asked for to at least send a message that cynical support of the anti business democrats is not a good idea at all.
