I only see them going after a NT/big DE in the draft if a good one is sitting there at one of our picks. People are being too over reactionary because of our soft DB play and lack of cover LBs. The talent is there.

I beg to differ, Matt Ryan in both games had all the time in the world to shred us apart.

This DL isn't the same one causing havoc in 2013.

Not that we were great rushing them, but we got 9 hurries and 3 hits on Ryan, plus Galette drew a holding penalty and we made him throw away 3 passes.

Our major issue(same as the first game) was losing contain on Ryan, which is why he had "all day" a few times. That's nothing to do with the rush itself or the players not being good at rushing. That's bad coaching and/or discipline.

Most of their passes were quick release stuff because the corners were off or the zones were too loose(I remember they completed one pattern 3 times in the same exact manner because the underneath man was too shallow, that being Vaccaro on two of them).

If you really look at the difference between this year and last year, it's the safeties. I gave Jenkins a lot of shite for his play(especially his tackling, which he was horrible at), but he at least had the secondary lined up and everyone knew where everyone was going to be.

Just look to the Eagles and how improved their secondary was. It's a shame Jenkins never lived up to that potential here, and that he never tackled well while he was here. I think a lot of that can be blamed on coaching. Everyone knew Jenkins had it in him and that he was smart enough, but he was never able to put it all together here like he has there.

We didn't have that this year with Vaccaro moving to SS, Byrd as a new transfer at FS and then getting hurt, Bush playing FS and getting hurt, and then Warren coming in at FS and Sanford at SS.

The miscommunication and loose coverage/zones is definitely what did us in this year. If you don't give the pass rush time and allow quick passes all game you aren't going to get many sacks.
