well pennypacker that is because over the course of a season you would hope to see a player get a little better each game. if someone puts up the same numbers over and over, its not just about "good" or "bad", it also becomes about, "has this player shown improvement over the course of a season". now of course, you, being myopic, will say "bbbuttt butt buttttt he had his best game in the last game of the season! clearly he was improving!" if a QBs best game of the season is one where he runs for more than he throws, and he still is struggling to complete more than 13 passes, then you cannot help but have cause for concern.

but ya know, thats just like, my opinion, man.
