Being more active in identifying and disciplining the bad ones, as opposed to forming a shield to protect them, would go a long way towards mending this distrust between regular joes and cops.

The media tried to connect the dots. I'd guess no one here agreed.

Pimp didn't make any threads about it?

Don't let the nana dance yet. I totally forgot about those two in Las Vegas killing the cops eating lunch around the time of the Bundy standoff. I don't remember the Lamestream media indicting conservatism or the Tea Party for that one, but I could be wrong.

The only connection that would be arguably reasonable is Bundy. And If there was evidence this guy was convinced by the Bundy drama, I would be willing to say "See you Bundy idiots, calm this shite down."
Same thing should be said to the Brown idiots. Calm the frick down, most of you are too dumb to further whatever goals have occurred to you (if any).

The two cop killers in Vegas were at the Bundy ranch for the standoff. I wouldn't call them tea Partiers. But by the standards being used to indict DiBlasio here, they are certainly an almost perfect analogy.

Gillespie wouldn't disclose more about a motive for the Millers' rampage and declined to say what was contained in a note left with a swastika symbol and a "Don't Tread on Me" flag in the pizza shop where the officers were ambushed.

Police said previously the Millers shared an ideology with militia and white supremacists that law enforcement officers were oppressors. The couple was kicked out of an encampment of supporters of Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy, who engaged in an armed standoff in April with federal Bureau of Land Management agents trying to round up Bundy cattle in a public land trespassing dispute.

About as tenuous of a connection as you guys trying to blame the politicians who spoke out about the Ferguson/ Garner stuff.

How dare anyone criticize government. Government enforcers are sacred cows.

And I would say the Bundy fury and this fury were both misdirected with tragic results. This one is larger and more extended, and as a result, the tragedies are already worse.

I think two cops getting executed in a cop car is just as tragic as two cops getting executed while eating at CC's Pizza.

And the millions in property damage, potentially related assaults and murders in Ferguson, etc.?

Yeah, that's worse. I thought you meant loss of life.

There's a longer history of a conflict narrative with this. Check back in 15-20 years on the Tea Partiers. I have faith they can ratchet it up.

Eh, I'm no fan of the TP, but they really don't use violent rhetoric too often. I agree that the "blood of tyrants" stuff can probably get dicey, but it typically doesn't. That said, I have the same cautionary advice for them as I do the Brown people, just on a smaller scale.
Neither movement is inherently wrong, if the proper arguments and corresponding actions are used. But the TP overstates the tyranny Obama is imposing, and the Brown people just outright lie regarding the status of race relations in the country. I mean, where do you even start with people who claim there is a genocide against black young men (not self imposed) in America?

Both communities need to work with each other, but it is law enforcements job to make that relationship work, and their responsibility is greater.
its the same thing.....no trust on either side.
