That is correct. It is a Brough Superior and Lawrence was riding it when he died in his fateful accident. Around 3000 were produced and around 1000 continue to exist today. This particular one is on display at the Imperial War Museum.

Sorry I got to this thread late. I was going to go with "The motorcycle Steve McQueen rode in The Great Escape. But I was pretty sure that was the Nautilus and I knew it crossed under the North Pole. (No clue about the chrystanseum on the bow of Japanese warships)
