Will Gerald Green be a throw in for a bigger trade?

I saw an interesting trade proposal from Basketball Insiders

This is from the guy that covers the Bulls for BI, so it should be a Bulls centric view. So if they would be getting Green essentially because he's expiring trade filler, Salmons + any other minimum guy would be enough to make it a 3 way.
Keep in mind this isn't a rumor, just a trade proposal, but if Green ends up being a throw in to a bigger trade, turning Salmons into Green needs to happen.

Chicago Bulls trade Taj Gibson to Phoenix Suns for Gerald Green, Anthony Tolliver and Shavlik Randolph and a first-round pick.
It’s going to be hard for the Chicago Bulls to hold onto guard Jimmy Butler at this point, especially now that he’s a likely All-Star and will command max, or near-max money in restricted free agency this summer. The only way to have a shot at affording him is to ship off Taj Gibson, who just so happens to play a position at which the Bulls have loads of depth. Green and Randolph are expiring contracts, and Tolliver will have one more year at $3 million left after this season, a deal which should be fairly easy to move. This generates cap space (and a draft pick) for the Bulls and gives Phoenix a really good player that is being severely underutilized for his current team. Given the right role and right minutes, Gibson is a 15/10 guy. That’s surely worth a pick and a couple of expiring deals.

It's not going to happen, but Butler would be a nice piece next to Davis and Jrue.

The only things they'd want from us are Tyreke, future 1st round, and Ryno who they could flip for another asset. That's too much for just butler imo.

I don't think the OP is making any assumptions about Butler being a Pelican its about snagging Gerald Green in the process of the Bulls trying to resign Butler

Agreed. My post was simply a comment on Butler being a legit pairing next to AD.

I think a team with jrue/tyreke/green/ad/Asik would be filthy. That is if we could acquire such lineup.
