Not if we merge with our machines. Even shortly after Singularity, there will be many things only humans are still truly capable of and it would not be in their best interest for at least quite some time to kill us. If we merge with them, that should save us from destruction since we will then be on an equal playing field with them. I do however see some sort of inevitable war between machines/enhanced humans and the ones who refuse to upgrade. I just don't think at that point in our existence we would put up with violent and uncompromising beliefs that hold us back as a species, Islam being the biggest issue.
