He makes Michigan instantly relevant and single handedly makes the Big 10 attractive for players, coaches, and the media again.
SEC has enjoyed dominant teams over the last decade. Because the number of athletes in the Southeast, that shouldn't change. However, this hire would instantly slow that progression of dominance down.
I wouldn't doubt it if the total value of UM's athletic department increased by 10% with this hire alone, IF it goes through.
With UM still having a relatively easy FB schedule, I see them being annual playoff contender very soon.
