She is 3. Youtube time is pre-bedtime wind down/let-mommy-cook-and-daddy-put-the-baby-to-bed-without-pestering-the-shite-out-of-us-for-a-minute.

Technology doesn't have to be evil and brain-rotting. Don't worry; my kids will soon, and inevitably, know more about tech than most of the idiots who post here.

The app Endless ABC is great for little kids. Teaches them letters and pronunciation and spelling while also teaching them how to use touch screen interfaces. A tablet can be an excellent learning device for kids. Its all how you allow them to use it. Its better than sitting them in front of the TV. My son watches his movies on long drives and trips but on the way back from daycare he watches videos to help him learn new words. The alternative is him daydreaming while looking out the window.
