Yeah, I agree with you. If you find a Modest Mouse record in someone's collection, there's a better than even money chance you'll also find a Spoon record. There is a lot of crossover in their fanbases. I don't think it's crazy to compare the two bands at all. But I also agree the difference in the bands comes down to personal preference. They are both great bands, and you should own their records because they are great.
