Except the shale oil from Canada is not being sold to the US its being sold abroad for consumption abroad and the money goes to Canada. This will have no effect on oil/gas prices here.

The only economic benefit for the US is the construction and infrastructure jobs.

Yeah, and an increase in supply, lowers costs...I'm sorry you're against free trade. There's nothing illegal or dangerous about exporting and the increase of supply marked at a lower costs forces competitors to respond. When you're talking about a cartel that colludes to frick over everyone, they can and will be forced to meet that lower price because it's all about insane Mark up for them versus inflated infrastructure/transportation costs

Competition does wonderful things.
