He's already shown what he can do with his pen and his phone.

What gets me is that people on this board don't seem to consider the geo-political implications of this whole move.

Cuba has been a staging ground for many of our enemies for more than 50 years. They are giving up absolutely nothing in this deal.

They'll get more US currency, they'll get US businesses vested into their economy, where they'll put the heat on Congress to let up on Cuba, that sort of thing.

Suggest you guys look at Rubio's press conference today. He lays it all out.

I'm considering it, and it's all positive. Aside from North Korea, we don't have a trade embargo with a single other nation, and it all comes from an incident before 2/3rds of the country was born. Honestly, I'd cut off trade with Pakistan before Cuba. Cuba is the fourth closest country to our borders (excluding Russia and Alaska). There is massive economic benefits for both countries in this deal. Only delusional wackjobs who see communists trying to destroy American society behind every corner think this is a bad idea.

I can't think of anything the US is giving up either. Investing in China, that was a horrible decision!

You say this like this is a bad thing. This is a good thing for sure.
