Girls just chase the butterflies and sparks early on then they figure out that's not always a great indicator for a successful relationship.

Exactly. I would even say its most of the time a bad indicator. Can even count the number of stories with some "charming and perfect" man that ultimately ends up being a serial killer or ends up pulling the ole' Sawyer like on LOST and steals their money/mooches. Or what possesses girls to continue on in abusive relationships? Sure as hell had to be something, and usually its right at the beginning when he shows off his best stuff. Then its all shite.
