Not to take away from your rant, but he did beat Oklahoma 2 times while at State, and I believe he got them back to a bowl after a long long drought of losing seasons. Note I am no Miles lover by any stretch of the imagination.

Records at ok state while he was coach

2001 4-7
2002 8-5 Houston Bowl Win
2003 9-4 Cotton Bowl Loss
2004 7-5 Alamo Bowl Loss

OK State Record for years before he was coach.

2000 3-8 1994 3-7-1 1988 10-2
1999 5-6 1993 3-8 1987 10-2
1998 5-6 1992 4-6-1
1997 8-4 1991 0-10-1
1996 5-6 1990 4-7
1995 4-8 1989 4-7

In four years at Oklahoma St., Miles won 16 conference games. In the four years prior to Miles, OSU won 12 conference games. A modest improvement.

With Miles, the Cowboys finished every season unranked. OSU had one top-25 finish in the four years prior to Miles.

Among current SEC coaches, Miles ranks #5 in winning percentage vs. SEC Opponents.
