I don't take my stance abortion through religion exactly (raised in a catholic family, but not religious myself). I consider myself pro-life. I just have a moral bearing to believe that it is a life. It was only strengthened when I was able to go through the experience with my own child. There is a person moving around doing things inside there. It's not just an ailment you can get rid of.

BUT, when actions out of your control such as rape caused you to become pregnant, or there is a major health concern, I do understand. I still consider that viewpoint as pro-life. If someone just becomes pregnant, that's their responsibility and I think it's despicable that we think abortion can be justified. We have cases where we hold a "dad" responsible for child support even when it is proven that the child is not theirs, but we can find it in our hearts to let a woman end a life becasue it's not a good time for her. I don't judge any individual for having an abortion, because I'm a man and I will never have to make that choice, but I still don't think much can change my stance.
