Cape Town? Ludicrous. No city with massive slums where you have to have private security even in the nice areas to avoid being raped and murdered should be considered. This rule would eliminate mid-late '70s-'80s NYC but not modern NYC.

If I had to rank the Top 10 cities in the world, it would be as follows:
1) NYC
2) Hong Kong
3) Rome
4) Tokyo
5) London
6) Paris
7) Shanghai
8) Istanbul
9) Amsterdam
10) Barcelona
HMs: Singapore, Beijing, San Francisco, Rio de Janeiro, and Moscow
Granted, I've only been to half my list, but I'd say pretty comfortably those are the best cities in the world to show mankind's achievement, and each of them is very unique. Cape Town doesn't represent shite.
