Just for the record: You are arguing LSU has a stronger recruiting base than Florida due to no instate competition and Louisiana has better weather than Florida

Florida is the school in that state. Miami fans are a small sliver in the bottom and FSU is the panhandle. The rest, which is almost the whole thing, is UF When Florida is good or has momentum (which hiring a new coach does) they get whoever they want out of that state. Florida is probably the best state in the country for High School talent.
