Problem right there, at 30yds you should be shooting in the neck or head - any bullet at 30yds won't leave a drop a blood with that placement.

The doe I shot at 25 yds with .270 a few weeks ago disagrees. Ask lsuman about the blood eerywhere.

No, and no.

I'm sure the OB is full of competition marksmen, but head shots are terrible.
It's a much smaller target, and it moves more than the rest of the animal.
Just not a responsible shot in my opinion.

I don't know where you come up with no bullet would leave blood at 30 yards.
Thats just dumb.

I've never used a 243, but might try it one day when lil upgrade gets near hunting age.
Would probably use Partitions or something similar.
