They may have been justified in arresting him, but they could have gone about it without choking him out.

And his previous record is irrelevant in this instance.

Why isn't it relevant? Garner said he was resiting and wanted the police to go away and stop bothering him so much. We now know why he was bothered so much.

Are you sure that is what happened? I read that he died of other causes while in the Ambulance?
