The only way that playing in location X helps recruiting, and it's a miniscule amount, is if a kid or his parents are worried about coming to X school because their friends and family will never get to see them play.
"Coach, I want to come but my friends back home will never be able to go that far to see me play"
"Well son, we played a game in your back yard last January"
That's it. The whole let's schedule a game here "for recruiting purposes" has little if any merit in this day and age

So you think that while the team is in Nashville preparing for the bowl game, the coaches will be "looking at players in that region" and catching "quick flights to the Carolinas" for some more recruiting?
So you believe coaches did no recruiting while in Orlando last year? The area that has been a hotbed for LSU targets the past 15 years.
