Texas is the second most populated state with largest high school football talent pool. The more exposure the better. I can't believe this is actually being argued. Talk to anyone in marketing about product exposure. Why in the world do beer companies, insurance companies, automobile makers, etc. pour billions into advertising when everyone already knows they exist? Saturate, saturate, saturate and win.

The only bowl in Texas this year the recruits will be watching is the NC game

So if you're a Texas HS football player who is skilled enough to play at the next level, and you see that Texas is playing LSU in a bowl game, you then think "LSU? hmm, I didnt know there was a college FB team in Louisiana." "Glad I saw this bowl game. I may play there."
