I watched part of that game today. Patterson made some impressive plays against tough competition.
On one play, he rolled to his left, kept his eyes up the field and completed a big third down pass to his third option. I wonder how many high school junior QBs could make that play?

Either run Cameron out of town because he is incompetent or stop holding him back from doing his job.
Cameron hasn't been here long enough to evaluate him. He's done three things since he's been here:
1. Killed it with Mett
2. Recruited Harris (jury still out)
3. Nursed the offense through 2015 with a young QB he didn't recruit

quote:Does Franks think Fl. St. is going to be any easier and leave the door open for him to come in and start as a true freshman and also stop recruiting any other QB, not to mention allow him to automatically start over whoever they already have on the squad? You are going to have quality competition at any major university. I hope Franks sticks to his LSU commitment and not worry about a little competition.
BUT FELEPIE FRANKS

He's a very fluid athlete. He has good arm strength and good accuracy. His footwork is exceptional, and he has that effortless style in the pocket that almost guarantees his receivers will have time to get open. He can create opportunities downfield with his ability to ad-lib in the pocket and he has the wheels to turn a five yard game into a 15 yard gain. He extends drives with his ability to move the chains, which results in much better field position for the defense. He's not a 3 and out kind of qb. He's a chain-mover.
Of concern is that casual way he holds the rock. It's not like it won't be corrected, but it's the same thing you see from a lot of elite QB's. They are so used to being more elusive than the competition that they can get careless with the ball. But besides that minor issue, he's almost the perfect QB prospect in my book.
I will be holding my breath until signing day. I'm VERY impressed with Shea.

It will be interesting to see which schools throw their QB coaching job at Sean Patterson in hopes of sealing a package deal
