I've scratched the surface of SQL. If by scratch the surface you mean like scratching the surface of a scratch-off lottery ticket I mean.
Anyway, I was talking with a family member last night whose actually going to have some downtime upcoming over the Holidays. We are both interested in learning a lot more about it.
He's got more time than I do but I was looking for some suggestions from you guys on some free tutorials or inexpensive online/web/streaming video-based tutorials he can begin to learn with.
What do you guys suggest?

For something free you could try https://www.w3schools.com/sql/
You can download SQL Server Express from Microsoft and install the Northwind database to play around with.
PluralSight has decent training if you have a little money to spend.

I'm currently using w3 to teach myself SQL. It is pretty user friendly and thorough.
Sadly, I'm going to burn up some holiday hours doing the same thing.
